Railways & buses to strike on 1st December

Railway employees are to launch a token strike from midnight on 1st December. The Railway Graded Trade Union Collective that organizes the strike states they have resorted to trade union action as their grievances have not been looked into. Among their demands are take measures to stop acquiring department’s lands by the private sector, increase to their salaries and issues regarding recruitment of employees. Meanwhile, private bus owners too have warned that they would launch a strike on the 1st to protest against heavy fines on traffic offences.
