Mother and daughter stabbed to death

A mother and her daughter were stabbed to death in a house at Gurubewila in Ratnapura, last night due a family dispute, police said. The victims were identified as the 37-year-old mother, Lechchaman Shashikala and the 17-year-old daughter, Suchendran Sanjeewani. They were allegedly murdered by the mother's ex-husband with a sharp object, police said.
