Right to Information Bill passed in Parliament

The Right to Information Bill (RTI) was unanimously passed in the Parliament with amendments and without a vote this evening. Earlier, the government was accepted all amendments prescribed to the Right to Information (RTI) Bill by the Supreme Court, Deputy Minister of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media, Karunarathna Paranawithana stated. The RTI Bill was submitted to Parliament for its first reading on March 24.
