Aranayaka girl shares her heartwarming experience of the deadly landslide A girl who was saved after she was trapped between earth and a cupboard in her house, during the Aranayaka landslide on 17th last month, has opened up about her experience. Saumya Kumari was saved by her uncles, but her father and a brother lost their lives to the deadly landslide. Saumya who is to sit for this year’s GCE Ordinary Level Examination said that she was studying when she heard a loud sound. “It was like a helicopter coming, I went to the living room to see what it was.”
