G.L.Peiris arrives at CID for questioning

The police say it summoned former Minister of Foreign Affairs Prof.G.L.Peiris to the CID to record a statement from him regarding a comment he made on recovering weapons and a suicide jacket from Maravankulam area in Chavakachcheri. Therefore the former minister appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department around 10 am today. Addressing a media briefing held in Colombo recently Prof.Peiris said information have surfaced that the explosives were due to taken to Wellwaththa area.
