Speaking at an event on Sunday, SSP Ajith Rohana made a special statement about the challenges he had to face while serving as the Police Media Spokesperson. SSP Ajith Rohana made this statement while addressing the Batch Gathering and Gratitude Ceremony of Legal Apprentices of 2015 of the Sri Lanka Law College.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Superintendent of Police Ajith Rohana said that during his tenure as the Police Media Spokesperson for a period of three years, he was accused of covering up for the police.
He said: I was called a parrot. But I believe that I, as the police media spokesperson, was able to present certain facts with much flexibility. I was able to do so because of the education I received as a police officer and an sttorney. So, at times when I could not answer a question, I, at the very least provide an answer by referring to the Marriage and Divorce Act.
