Bank robbery attempt kills two in Kekirawa

A man who had attempted to rob a private bank in Kekirawa, Anuradhapura was killed along with the security officer of the bank when a hand grenade exploded, Police said. The security officer had attempted to prevent the robber from entering the bank, which had resulted in a scuffle between the robber and the security officer. A hand grenade in the possession of the robber had then exploded, killing the two.
