Fire erupts at Prince Street in Pettah

Fire-fighters battled a blaze that broke out in a multi-storeyed building located down Prince Street in Pettah. Police said it took five hours to douse the fire.The fire broke-out in a leather store located in the building. A dozen fire-trucks were dispatched to douse the fire while two ambulances were also seen at the scene.Water-Bowsers were also dispatched by the Sri Lanka Navy and the Colombo Harbour to assist in battling the blaze.
