Sarath Fonseka invites Gotabaya to join politics

Sri Lanka former army chief Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka says that he inviting former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa to enter into mainstream politics. “It is good if he comes because then it will be easier to defeat (them) the next time,” the Minister of Regional Development said, responding to questions from journalists regarding rumours of Rajapaksa trying his hand in politics. “I too am inviting him to somehow come. Because I know that if he goes that will be the end.” He claimed that Gotabaya Rajapaksa will create his own clique and the other seniors in the party will not be able to do anything.
