Three foreign drug dealers arrested

Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) officers busted a large scale drug racket when they arrested three Maldivians and a Pakistani with two kgs of heroin yesterday morning. The officers first arrested a Maldivian with two kgs of heroin at Beach Road, Mount Lavinia on Saturday evening. Information provided by him led the PNB to two other Maldivians at a house in Beach Road and to the main suspect, a Pakistani, at a hotel in Kollupitiya yesterday morning. The Pakistani had given the stock of heroin to the Maldivians who were to deliver them to local customers, investigations revealed. The suspects were to be produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate yesterday. PNB officers obtained seven days detention orders to interrogate the suspects.
