Man kills wife, two children in Trincomalee

A mother and two children aged 10 and eight were allegedly hacked to death by the children’s father at Kanniya, Uppuveli yesterday. Police said the three succumbed to the injuries on admission to hospital.Police had rushed to the location after being informed of the incident and had admitted the wounded to the hospital with the villagers’ help. The 34-year-old suspect, a resident of Kilikunwimale, Kanniya, was arrested on suspicion of the triple murder. Police are conducting further investigations.
