President Xi meets Sri Lankan president

Chinese President Xi Jinping has met Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in the Indian state of Goa. They promised to deepen ties between China and Sri Lanka. President Xi said China-Sri Lanka relations have seen a positive and healthy development momentum. He also said China will work with Sri Lanka to carry forward their traditional friendship cultivated for generations.
