MP Jayantha remanded till October 5

Jathika Nidahas Peramuna MP Jayantha Samaraweera arrested for allegedly misusing government vehicles incurring a loss of Rs. 5.3 million to the government was yesterday ordered to be remanded till October 5 by the Colombo Fort Magistrate. When the case came up before Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne, the suspect was ordered to be remanded since he has been charged under the Public Property Act.
