Four Army intelligence officers released

Ven. Bengamuwe Nalaka Thera yesterday said that no evidence has been found to ascertain that journalist Pradeep Ekneligoda had disappeared. The thera said those remanded are forced by officials of the Criminal Investigation Department to drag former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa into this incident. The thera said President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe can travel to Jaffna without fear due to the sacrifices by war heroes. Ven. Bengamuwe Nalaka Thera was speaking at a press conference in Colombo yesterday. He said the present government is the only government in post independent Sri Lanka that unleashed hatred to its opponents in greater proportions.
