SLFP holds ‘closed-door’ meeting in Kandy
The Kandy District activists meeting of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party was held on Saturday. The meeting took place at the official residence of Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake and was attended by several SLFP veterans. However, the meeting was held behind closed doors. Party representatives expressed their views following the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva stated that the meeting was held in order to raise awareness amongst the SLFP supporters and organisers in the Kandy District on the 64th anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party
