Man Arrested for Attempt to Abuse Minor Girls

Police has arrested a man who attempted to sexually abuse three Sunday school students in Galle, this morning. The incident has taken place in Weliwatta Wijayananda Pirivena in Galle. Parents have assaulted the man when he tried to harass the girls when they went to the washroom. They have later handed the man over to the police. The suspect is a 30-year-old man from Kapuhempala in Galle. Hiru correspondent said residents in the area and Southern Provincial Council member Krishantha Pushpakumara has visited the police station after his arrest.
