Police clash with drunken youths in Galle

A policeman attached to the Galle Police has been admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital in critical condition after he was hit on the head with a club during a clash between police and several youth, allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Four policemen were dispatched to a location at Kuduwa Junction in Dadalla, Galle following a complaint received via the police emergency hotline at 3.00am this morning regarding a brawl at a wedding reception.
