Bodies of Dematagoda accident victims brought home

The bodies of the mother and daughter who were killed in a motor accident in Dematagoda, were brought to their home on Sunday night. The forty-seven-year old woman and her ten-year-old daughter were run over and killed at a pedestrian crossing near a level crossing on Baseline Road around 9 p.m. on Saturday. The driver of the car, which allegedly ran over the two victims in question, was a fifteen-year-old. The 15-year-old and his mother were produced before the Colombo Magistrates on Sunday. Court ordered that the mother be remanded until January 25 and the son be remanded until the 29th.
