Road roller collides with motorcycle killing woman

A road roller plying along a hillock on Aluthwala-Berathuduwa Road, slid back due to a mechanical defect and collided with a motorcycle parked on the roadside and ran over a woman seated on the motorcycle who fell on the road, sustaining injuries. The woman succumbed to the injuries on admission to the Arachchikanda Hospital. The woman’s husband and two children seated on the motorcycle escaped with minor injuries. The deceased was identified as a resident of Peella Junction, Manangoda, Batapola.
