Davuldena Gnanissara Thera Turns 100

The religious ceremony to invoke blessings and long life on the chief prelate of the Amarapura Sect, Agramahapnditha Most Venerable Davuldena Gnanissara Thero was held on Thursday. The centenary birthday of the most venerable thero was also celebrated at the event which was precided over by President Maithripala Sirisena. The religious ceremony was held at the BMICH The event also saw the participation of the chief prelates of the tri-sects and the Maha Sanga. Aspecial stamp was also issued by the president in line with the event.
