Supreme Court issues notices on President, PM

The Supreme Court today (02) issued notices on 75 persons including the President, the Prime Minister, and several Cabinet Ministers. The notices were issued, after considering a petition which indicated irregularities when awarding tenders for the supply of coal to the thermal power plant in Norochcholai, was taken up for hearing before a bench headed by Chief Justice K. Sri Pavan, Ada Derana reporter said. The Fundamental Rights (FR) petition has been filed by the Nobel Resources Pvt. Limited, according to the reporter.
