Opposition MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake request for a Parliamentary Select Committee to be appointed, to look in to the issues surrounding Avant Garde. The MP made the request following a statement made by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe over the issue of Avant Garde.
The Prime Minster said that investigations are underway over Avant Garde with regard to several points including money laundering. Speaker Karu Jayasuriya adjourned parliament for 5 minutes over a tense situation Earlier today
