Kondaya’s brother brought to do a DNA test

The brother of Kondaya, Saman Jayalath who was arrested over the murder of Seya Sadewmi was directed to Genetech on Tuesday in order to obtain blood samples to carry out a DNA test. The suspect who was arrested by the CID several days ago was produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate on Monday. He had made a request that he be allowed to make a statement to the magistrate. Police said that the suspect provided his statement at the Magistrate’s Chamber. Police Media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekera said that the Magistrate had instructed the prison authorities to direct the suspect to the Genetech Institute.
