SLFP interviews held to select candidates for elections

Interviews, to select candidates to contest under the Sri Lanka Freedom Party ticket at the August parliamentary elections, were held today .The interviews are taking place at the SLFP Headquarters located down Darley Road, Colombo. Provincial Councillors, Pradeshiya Sabha Members and a number of new faces were called in for Wednesday’s interviews. Mayor of Galle,Methsiri De Silva stated that, to win the election, the party must move forward without causing harm to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party under a good political leadership and that the decision taken to provide nominations for such candidates is a good one.
