Woman hacked to death in Galle

A twenty-four-year-old woman was killed with an axe in Dadalla, Galle . Police said the victim’s mother and brother were also seriously injured in the attack and are receiving treatment at the Karapitiya Teaching hospital. A resident of Akurassa, Katandola, said the victim moved to Dadalla around four months ago. Police suspect the murder was the result of a dispute between the victim and her husband’s uncle. Police say the suspect in the murder had committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train in the Gintota area in Galle early Tuesday morning.
