Former DIG Vass Gunawardena Speaking to the media

I am reaping the benefits of serving the nation – Fmr. DIG Vass Gunawardena Former DIG Vaas Gunawardene and his son Ruvindu Sameera de Vass Gunawardena were produced before the Colombo High Court on Thursday in connection to the murder of Mohammad Hisham. Speaking to the media on his way into the court complex, the former DIG noted that what happened to him will be an example for police officers who wish to serve the country. According to our correspondent a bail application submitted by Ruvindu Sameera was denied. Commenting to the media on their way out, the Former DIG’s son alleged that he had been imprisoned for three months on false charges. Meanwhile, Vass Gunawardene speaking once again to the media stated that he is reaping the benefits of serving the nation.
