I am still UNP - Tissa

Former General Secretary of the UNP Tissa Attnayake, who defected to the UPFA prior to the Presidential election yesterday, told The Island that he now regretted the decision to desert his party and that he felt it was due to his bad luck that he had decided to defect to the losing side. When asked whether he believed in astrology, he replied in the negative. Attanayake said he had no intention of quitting politics. He was appointed the Health Minister by President Mahinda Rajapaksa, but the appointment was short lived as the previous regime lost power with the defeat of President Rajapaksa.
