Jumbos figure in Parliament

Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa said yesterday members of parliament should be able to distinguish the difference between ‘two’ and ‘four’. The Speaker made this observation when UNP Matara District MP Buddhika Pathirana said that there were two types of elephants- quadrupeds and bipeds in response to a remark made by Wildlife Conservation Minister Vijith Vijyamuni Zoysa, who said that an elephant problem was prevailing in Hambantota owing to actions of MP Sajith Premadasa.
