The boy, who was less than two years old, tried to crawl out from under the minivan after the accident, and his parents, who had been nearby chatting in the market, rushed over and pulled him out. Thanks to the slippery road, the wheels of the van locked, pushing the boy along for a few meters rather than running straight over him. The boy suffered no critical injuries, according to the local hospital. Police advised that parents should learn from this accident, and look after their children at all times.

In a bid to avoid hitting a car that was making a U-turn, the truck driver was forced to swerve quickly and jackknifed the lorry, with its trailer tipping over inches away from the path of a passing motorcyclist. Fortunately, aware of what was happening beside him, the motorcyclist sped up and miraculously escaped from both the truck and the vast quantity of sand that fell out of its trailer.

Driver mistakes - car crashes into restaurant

A restaurant in Songjiang District of Shanghai was heavily damaged on May 15 after a car suddenly accelerated through its front window, injuring four customers and leaving one of them in critical condition. The police said the female driver mistook the gas pedal for the brake when she attempted to stop her car in front of the restaurant. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Footage recorded by a passer-by caught a road rage incident in Qinzhou city, east China’s Shandong Province, on Friday. In the video, a bus can be seen hitting a white car repeatedly, and end up with running directly to the car driver, who jumped out of his car and attempted to escape. According to the manager of the bus company, the tragedy started as a prank between the two vehicles but irritated the two drivers, which led into a quarrel. That annoyed the car driver and he intentionally drove his car slowly in front of the bus to express his angry. After they drove through two traffic lights, the bus driver was enraged and the tragedy happened.

Pedestrians lift car to rescue woman

Pedestrians rushed to the aid of a woman and a child who were trapped underneath a car after an accident in Wengan county, Guizhou Province, on Thursday. Surveillance cameras on the street captured footage showing three people, including two children and a woman, who were trapped underneath a van after a rear-end collision in the crossing lane. Luckily, one of the children was only scraped up a bit and soon stood up by herself and then walked away, leaving the woman and another child trapped underneath. Witnessing the event, pedestrians came together to lift the van and saved out the two who were still trapped. Fortunately, the two both survived, but only suffered minor fractures.

A traffic accident that occurred on April 20 involving a bus, a car and a dump truck carrying rubble, left two dead and 28 others seriously injured in Beijing. The truck driver ignored a red light at a crossroad, and ploughed straight into the middle of the bus. The surveillance camera on the bus recorded the moment the bus was struck by the truck. Many witnesses said that there was blood everywhere, and described the horror of the scene. The truck driver has been judged as entirely responsibility for the accident. The video went viral online, with many netizens calling for stricter controls on similar heavy duty dump trucks transporting rubble across the country.

2-year-old Toddler Run over by a car

A 2-year-old toddler in Lu’an city, Anhui Province, was killed after being run over by a car in a residential area while the child’s mother was focused on her phone, last Tuesday. In video footage, that went viral on Sunday, the toddler could be seen wandering into the road, while the mother was just a few steps away apparently preoccupied by her mobile phone. A parked black car on the side of the road then starts to move and runs the child over. The mother and the driver immediately went to check on the toddler, and rushed the child to the hospital, but unfortunately doctors couldn’t save the 2-year-old’s life.
