Two arrested over torturing and killing eagle

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the torturing and killing of an eagle in Habaraduwa police division last night, Police Media Unit told. The arrest was made after the images of suspects torturing an eagle inhumanely by peeling off its skin and severing off its legs went viral on social Media. They were arrested under the Flora and Fauna Protection Ordinance added Police Media Unit. The suspects are residents of Galle area and aged 40 years.
